Sunday, June 5, 2016, the public is invited to Colfax Church to enjoy great Bluegrass music, sandwiches, popcorn, soft ice cream, games, blowup rides, horse rides, and lots of fun for the whole family. Music will be provided by the group “Highway Home,” a Bluegrass/gospel band from Iowa. Ally Bagenstos, country singer and musician from Cedar Falls, will be performing during their breaks. While at Sunday’s BBQ, register your children for Vacation Bible School (VBS) week. Classes will be held Monday thru Friday, June 6 to 10, for children ages 3 years old through rising fifth graders. With a Program for families and friends wrapping up the week on Saturday evening, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. This year’s theme is “Cave Quest: Following Jesus the Light of the World.” Kids learn Jesus is the solid foundation of God’s love, who lights our way and gives us Hope, Courage, Direction, Love and Power for each new day. Cave Quest VBS encourages kids to follow Jesus where ever he will lead them! Kids participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, enjoy crafts and treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, give to the mission project, and collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love.
