Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday school is held 11:00-11:45 am on Sundays, following the Worship service and Coffee Fellowship time.
Children's Ministry
We believe that our Children are a gift from the Lord. It is the commitment of our church to assist parents in the Christian nurture of their children, teaching them God’s word, the grace of the Gospel, and the love of the Lord Jesus.
SUNDAY SCHOOL – Children’s Sunday school classes are held on Sunday’s 11:00-11:45am for ages 4 and up. (Nursery care is provided for 0 to 3 year olds).
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL – VBS is a week of learning about God and His Word offered in the summer through interactive activities for kids preschool through 5th grade.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – Every December, youth and children of the church help tell the Christmas story by presenting a drama with the use of costumes and singing.
Men's Bible Study
Men’s weekly Bible studies held periodically throughout the year are organized and led by the Pastor or one of the elders. They are usually held in the evenings, once a week.
Women's Ministry
BIBLE STUDY – Women’s Bible study runs for 10 weeks in the Fall and Spring, and is facilitated by members of the group. Times and locations vary according to the season. Check with the church office for current schedules.
WOMEN IN THE CHURCH (WIC) – The WIC serves lunches following funeral services, as a ministry to our families. Please contact the church office if you’d like to be added to the list to serve.

Local Missions
It is the goal of these ministries to meet the needs and care for the communities, both locally, and internationally, as the hands and feet of Jesus.
CARE TEAM – The care team organizes the following activities:
Host Diaper Showers for New Babies
Celebrate Birthdays of Members 90 years and over
Deliver Christmas Baskets for Shut-ins
Host a Banquet for graduating High School Seniors
Support Wings of Refuge Ministry, in Iowa Falls, IA for victims of sex trafficking
Collect Christmas gifts for a cottage at the Iowa State Training School for Boys
Provide Transportation for those in need
NURSING HOME SERVICES – Colfax Church partners with other churches in the area to minister to those in area nursing homes. Members regularly accompany the Pastor to three facilities in Grundy Center, share in the short devotions, sing hymns with residents, and visit those unable to leave their rooms.
International Missions
Colfax Church is known for its strong history and focus on missions. Colfax has a missions team consisting of five members who meet four to six times per year. Our congregation supports 30 missionary causes that range from MTW missionaries in 14 different countries, a local Christian school, PCA administration causes, youth ministries, and sponsoring of mission trip opportunities. The Mission Committee also hosts an annual “Missions Feast” to raise funds, encourage and pray for supported mission work, and host visiting missionaries from a number of local and international locations.
